On February 15, 2019, the National Science Foundation (NSF) on behalf of the National Coordination Office (NCO) for the Networking and Information Technology R&D (NITRD) published a Request for Information (RFI) in the Federal Register [84 FR 4544] inviting opinions and input from the public on new approaches from industry, academia, and non-governmental or organizations to solve the interoperability issues between medical devices, data, and platforms. The RFI provided an opportunity for comments to be made in response to four questions. Comments were accepted until March 15, 219. NITRD received a total of 37 responses from industry, academia, private sector, and public citizens, which are posted below. The posted version of the documents may have contained content, such as personally identifiable information, which were redacted (deleted or obscured) from the original before posting. Note, these responses do not represent the U.S. Government, any Federal agencies, NSF, NCO, or NITRD.
